What freemockup.video does well
freemockup.video runs in the browser, so it works on Windows and Linux without an install. It has a free tier and a paid plan at $9 a month or $72 a year (October 2026), and it exports MP4 and ProRes MOV.
For a quick animated phone or laptop clip on a computer where you can't install apps, it's a sensible choice.
Where Mockup Center is different
Its catalogue had 16 devices when we looked, three of them free. Mockup Center has 65, including foldables, tablets, watches, an iMac and a browser window.
Mockup Center is also a native Mac app. Long exports don't depend on a browser tab staying open, and your screenshots aren't uploaded anywhere to be rendered.
And there's the money. A subscription at $72 a year costs more than Mockup Center Premium within about a year and a half, and keeps costing after that. Premium is paid once.
Which one should you pick?
On Windows today, freemockup.video works and Mockup Center doesn't (our web version is coming). On a Mac, Mockup Center gives you more devices, photo mockups and no monthly bill.
